Strange Angels

Strange Angels
by Lili St. Crow

Age range: 14+
# of pages: 304
Rating: 3.5

Dru Anderson has what her grandmother calls the "Touch" (comes in handy when you're traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad shows up dead - but still walking - and Dru knows she's next. Even worse, she's got two guys hungry for her affections, and they're not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go at it alone. Will Dru discover how special she really is before going face to face or fang -to -fang with
whatever - or whoever - is hunting her?

I really wanted to read strange angels, I mean the cover says "Night Hunter. Knife Thrower. Heart breaker.", awesome, right? And the best part is that Strange Angels is a series, which means there'll be more but kicking action! Too bad the book was a total let down.

Yes, I was very disappointed in Strange Angels, not only was the writing poorly written is places, the plot was all over the place, Dru was not some super tough girl the book made her out to be, the second "love interest" didn't show up until the end of the book, and he really wasn't a love interest at all. In truth, Strange Angels needs some serious editing, there are lots of things that need to be explained better, and the plot needs to at least have a climax!

So although the idea for the book was good, quite honestly the book itself was not so hot. Should you read it, sure, but take it from the library. If you liked Strange Angels you might want to check out the following books:

Once Dead, Twice Shy (Madison Avery, Book 1) by Kim Harrison
The Summoning (Darkest Powers, Book 1) by Kelley Armstrong
Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
Prey by Rachel Vincent
Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, Book 1) by Richelle Mead
Raven by Allison Van Diepen
