This is a quick little rant, I don't often rant but right now I need to rant.

Spammers: This is a small book review blog. People come here to read reviews (I presume.) Why on earth do think that commenting on month old posts will help promote your company or product? Especially if it's in Chinese. I do not speak Chinese, I am not from China. Your comments mean nothing to me, I can't even READ THEM!

There is a small widget on the left column of this blog that says "recent comments". On it you will notice multiple comments promoting women's hygiene products, websites, or something in Chinese/Japanese or some Asian language.

I really do not want to put spam protection on my comment forms, you know - the letters you have to read and then type into the box. For me that's annoying, I don't know about you but I hate having to type in all those letters and make sure it's all correct. But if that's what it takes to stop SPAMMERS, then I'll have to do it.

So please stop, it's just a waste of your time, effort, and promotion. I only wish to blog in spam free peace.

Thank you,

I, unfortunately, have the spam protection on my blog. I dislike having to type in the letters myself but I didn't want the spam and yet... AND YET... even with the spam protection I've gotten a few spam messages.

In Chinese.

Hopefully it won't continue or get worse because I really don't want to have to moderate my comments. The spam protections enough already.

Ugh. I totally understand. I was having a lot of trouble with spammers (some in Chinese, and some advertising for Viagra, of all things), so I finally disabled Anonymous comments on my blog. I hate the letter thing, but I understand why some people use it. As for me though, I haven't had problems since I eliminated anonymous comments. Hopefully it will say that way. Good luck!

I'm sorry about all the spam! I was getting some for viagra there for awhile, but eventually it went away. I hope this happens to you too! :)

OMG! I totally understand...I get a Chinese comment once a day, and I'm about to freak out haha. It's really annoying, it's bad enough my email gets spammed from posting my email on blogs. Spammers suck!

Oh no!

I've had a problems with spammers too--people from gaming blogs.

But I get so annoyed by word verification that I rather delete spam comments than put it up on my blog. Haha :)

I get those once in awhile too and they are a pain in the butt! Sometimes I activate the word verification for a few days to prevent more and then I can turn it off again. I don't understand the purpose of spamming old posts either. What a waste of everyone's time. I hope they leave you alone from now on. I hope they leave us all alone from now on. Wishing you a very happy new year!

I want not acquiesce in on it. I regard as polite post. Expressly the title-deed attracted me to review the intact story.
